Lionard Pajoy has signed with La Equidad of Colombia. They begin their season on Friday. Freddy Adu and Carlos Ruiz are still without a team. Now, all three of these players are terrible, but at least Adu and Ruiz have done things in their careers. They are still awful, but there are many awful teams that probably would be willing to give them a chance.
Michael Orozco went 90 minutes in Puebla's scoreless draw with Santos Laguna. He didn't feature in either of his club's Copa MX matches in the last week. Yesterday, Puebla defeated Correcaminos 1-0, after losing to the same club 4-1 last Tuesday.
Porfirio Lopez played in both of Alajuelense's matches last week. LDA defeated Limón 3-0 midweek, then proceeded to lose to Uruguay 1-0 on Sunday. On Wednesday, Porfirio & Co. will travel to Herediano a little over a month after they beat the same club in the Invierno final. David Myrie's club will be eager to defend their title loss, and are in good form to do it, as the Central Costa Rican club have won their first three games of the season by a combined score of 10-3.
Josue Martinez watched both of Saprissa's matches from the bench this week. He has yet to make a start this season.
Michael Farfan is also struggling to find the field, as he still has not cracked Cruz Azul's gameday roster. Considering that Marfan hasn't played on a pro level since the end of October, this shouldn't be much of a concern, for now.
JOE TAIT TIME: Joe Tait and the Fighting Taits (Darlington 1883) defeated Ossett Albion 3-2. That's good, I guess? Joe supposedly played in midfield, but Darlington's wireless connection was too poor for them to stream the match. Only the few spectators on hand will be able to remember this match, sorta like Wilt's 100-point game. Yea, exactly like that, actually.
As reported earlier in the week, Roger Torres suffered a knee injury while on trial with Colombian powerhouse Atletico Nacional. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.
