As with most people, we here at the Brotherly Game made our New Year's Resolutions. Although they don't have to do with us losing 5 pounds or quitting smoking (although some of us could benefit from one, the other, or both), they are what we as fans and writers will try to do in 2014. So in a round table format, here's what we came up with.
JC: I resolve to not be so critical of Danny Cruz, he's doing the best he can with his very limited skills.
Eugene: I resolve to be less critical about Sebastien Le Toux. As much as I disagreed with him coming back, he had a good year last year and deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Andrew: I resolve to be more positive.
Ed: I resolve to maintain my current level of fanhood, I feel as if I've upheld my end of the bargain.
JC: I changed my mind, I can't not be critical of Danny Cruz.
JC: I resolve to not give up until Hackworth is gone.
Tom: Score with a man advantage.
Eryin: I resolve not to spend any money at the first 6 Union home matches (Editor's note - Eryin will be in the Netherlands during this time).
Jared: I see Mr. Cruz is already a topic but my first reaction was to say I resolve to try to root for Danny Cruz.
Barry: Danny Cruz isn't going to be a big player for us this year........ (please).
Jared: That should make it easier to root for him.
Barry: I resolve to giving Hackworth another chance to show he can be a good game manager.
Eugene: I resolve to try to get you guys to hop on the Danny Cruz cruise! All aboard!
Rich: I resolve to have some expectations this year. Not much but some. And for you guys to like Danny Cruz.
Frank: In 2014 I promise to give Hackworth less leeway now that the club is no longer hampered by bad contracts leftover from the Nowak era.
Heather: To be a team that can be a real playoff contender.
Staci: I resolve to remember that my relationships in the stands matter more than the results on the field. In victory or defeat, it's about sharing the experience.
