Union draftee Stephen Okai is heading to the USL PRO Championship, after the Charlotte Eagles defeated the Commissioners' Cup-holding Richmond Kickers. The Eagles will face 2nd-placed, likely MLS-bound Orlando City SC, who they have never beaten.

Justin Mapp played a full 90 minutes on Saturday in Montreal's bore 0-0 draw with the Union. Mapp was pretty lively all game, but nothing ever materialized. The closest he came to scoring was in the 24th minute, when he hit the shot seen in the video below. Despite the draw, the Impact sit atop the Eastern Conference standings.

Shea Salinas went 18 minutes for San Jose as they lost 3-0 to their California Clásico rival, the LA Galaxy. Neither Brian Perk nor Chandler Hoffman featured for LA.

Bakary Soumaré was on the field when Houston grabbed their 90th minute equalizer in Chicago. The Fire are currently two points behind New England, who are in 5th place, but they possess a game-in-hand on the Revs. Bakary and his teammates will travel to Seattle next week.

Jordan Harvey played the full match for Vancouver, as they grabbed a late equalizer after going down by two very early on. Chivas have next to no hope of getting into the playoffs, but the Caps do, and this will hurt their chances. It appears that Gabe Farfan been relegated to the bench as a result of the three-game suspension he just served. Brad Knighton was also watching from the stands on Sunday.

Carlos Ruiz, Lionard Pajoy, Ryan Richter, and Danny Mwanga didn't crack the gameday roster for their respective clubs this weekend. Both Andrew Jacobson and Chris Seitz were on a bye week.

Toni Ståhl helped the Fort Lauderdale Strikers shut out the league-leading Carolina RailHawks in Florida. The win sees the Strikers move up to 2nd place.

Michael Orozco Fiscal went the distance for Puebla as they defeated cellar dwellers Atlante 1-0. Puebla is currently in 10th place.

Porfirio Lopez and Alajuelense recorded their second clean sheet in as many games, this time shutting down fellow CCL participants Herediano. This is LDA's first win of the domestic season.

In Colombia, Faryd Mondragón kept the ball out of the back of his net, helping Deportivo Cali secure a 1-0 win over Itagüí. Mondragón and Cali currently claim the second lowest GAA in Colombia, allowing .75 goals per game.

ES Bahia got stomped by Portuguesa, the same team they just defeated in the Copa Sudamericana, by a score of 4-2. Freddy Adu didn't make the squad on Saturday.

Kai Herdling played 15 minutes for Hoffenheim this weekend, and managed to assist on Roberto Firmino's 87th minute goal. Despite the late goal, Stuttgart still put Hoffenheim over their knee, winning 6-2. Hoffenheim currently leads the league in both goals scored (12) and goals allowed (12), good enough for 11th place.
