In Colombia, the top eight teams are separated into two groups of four. Each team plays every other team in their group twice, with the winner of each group advancing to the finals. Three games through, Cali is still perfect, as they sit six points clear of their nearest competitor. Mondragon watched his teammates score two late goals to take all three points from their encounter with Once Caldas. The two teams will meet once again on Wednesday.
Kai Herdling played 31 minutes in a 2-0 Hoffenheim defeat. The loss to Augsburg marks their third in a row, and they now sit only two points above the relegation playoff. Their match against similarly struggling Werder Bremen next week could prove to be the difference between staying up or going down at the end of the season.
