With the Philadelphia Union firmly out of the playoff chase, they will look to play spoiler to a team firmly in the playoff chase, D.C. United. United sit one point behind the fifth place Columbus Crew with a game-in-hand. While United have been a stronger side than the Crew thus far this season, the Philadelphia Union can look to put a nice dent in United's playoff hopes should the Union manage to take all three points from D.C. United.
Prediction: The Union will give it one heck of a shot, but in the end, I think they fall just short of earning a point against their superior opposition. D.C. United win 2-1.
What do you think? Think the Union can play a successful spoiler to their southern rivals? Leave your predictions here, and come back at 8:00 to discuss the game with fellow Philadelphia Union fans. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
