Philadelphia Union starting XI: MacMath, Williams, Okugo, Valdes, G.Farfan, Carroll, Lahoud, M.Farfan, Adu, Pajoy, McInerney
Philadelphia Union bench: Harrison, Hoppenot, Martinez, Gomez, Gaddis, Albright, Hoffman
Montreal Impact starting XI: Ricketts, Camara, Rivas, Nesta, Ferrari, Bernier, Warner, Mapp, Felipe, Arnaud, Wenger.
Montreal Impact bench: Bush, Thomas, Brovsky, Iapichino, Nyassi, Neagle, Ubiparipovic
Prediction: The Impact have more points than the Union, although that is only because the Impact have played more games than the Union*. The last time the Union and the Impact played each other, they bored everyone for 80 minutes before a frenzied final 10 minutes that saw the Impact take a 1-0 lead only to lose to the Union 2-1. I think this game finds a happy medium between the two stories of the first game, and both teams walk away with a point after a 1-1 draw.
*The Impact have played 24 games this season while the Union have only played 19. WTF, MLS?
The Philadelphia Union have played better as of late, but are still nine points off fifth place in the Eastern Conference. I am not a huge fan of labeling games as must wins, but a win here would be real as the Union try to rebound from a horrendous start to qualify for the playoffs for a second straight here.
