The Costa Rican national team called up Porfirio Lopez to participate in the country's friendly against Jamaica tonight, possibly receiving his second ever international cap. The game is set to be played at The National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica at 8 P.M. (as of right now there is no legal online feed, or television channel, that is broadcasting the game for American viewers).
The Philadelphia Union have stated that the left back will return tomorrow, Thursday, and be available for Saturday's MLS match against the Chicago Fire.
Lopez, 26, has started at left back for the Union since joining Philadelphia during the offseason. He previously played at Santos de Guapiles and Puntarenas of Costa Rica, Dalian Haichang of China and Alajuelense, also of Costa Rica.
The left back made his international debut for Costa Rica in a 2-0 loss to Ecuador on August 10, 2011. Lopez played 73 minutes in the friendly loss.
