Levi Houapeu's future with the Philadelphia Union was up in the air, as the midfielder/forward was not included on the team's 30-man roster yesterday.

March 1 marked MLS' roster compliance day, which brought the releases of fellow midfielder/forward Nick Zimmerman and midfielder J.T. Noone and the signings of midfielder/forward Ryan Richter (a 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft selection) and former trialist goalkeeper Thorne Holder.

The Union's Twitter account accidentally reported that Houapeu had scored the team's fifth goal in its game today, which turned out to be a goal by Danny Mwanga.

After the jump, more on Houapeu and other personnel related news.

Left off the roster was Houapeu and currently-in-limbo defender Michael Orozco-Fiscal. However, Houapeu's fate was given hope by the Union's Twitter account in a response to a twitter question:

@scottdkessler No, he's still with the club in Greece. As of right now, though, he hasn't signed a contract & isn't on our official roster.

Orozco-Fiscal's future will be discussed by Piotr Nowak at 2:30 pm today, in a press conference call.
