South Jersey subscribers of Comcast now have access to the high definition broadcasts of Fox Soccer Channel and GOL TV, according to Comcast.
Long awaited by soccer fans throughout the tri-state area, high-def versions of both premium sports tier channels will bring Comcast's xfinity cable services in line with competitor Verizon, which already has both channels in place in the area. Channels 1512 and 1513 are Fox Soccer Channel and GOL TV, respectively, on Comcast, per the Philadelphia based information services company. The two channels are part of Comcast xfinity's $6.95 per month premium Sports Entertainment Package, which also includes the popular NFL Redzone channel.
The additions of the hi-def broadcast channels come after the 2011 MLS playoff started, but just in time for the last four MLS FSC televised games of the playoff season. The remaining FSC games are Real Salt Lake versus the Seattle Sounders tomorrow, the Colorado Rapids versus Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, the second leg of that series on November 2 and one of the two Conference Championship games.
