Listen, Zach McMath can't be blamed for every goal in the 5-3 loss to New England, but he can be blamed for about 3 of them. He's just not good enough. That's an indictment not just of McMath but of John Hackworth. He has to be a manager and stand up and just tell Zach the truth...that he is not MLS starter caliber. Spare me the "he saved 3 penalty kicks in a row" crap because is he can't make the saves during the run of play or off free kicks, who cares if he saves even one penalty a game? In the field, the Union's lack of depth was clear as they looked quite lost without Edu. In the back, Okugo's move to midfield was evident but Berry showed me again that he is a quality Center Back. Gaddis was again, fault solid in the back but suspect going forward. He's developing though. On the other side, despite his goal, I still think I prefer Fabinho to Williams but hey, you could move 25 to the middle and sit Wheeler.
Up top is a problem. Wenger is not performing well enough for me and the production from Maidana and Cruz is just not enough.
Noguiera meanwhile, shows me that he is the best player on the Union squad, and BY FAR when Edu is out.
