I am having a hard time finding any future consistent goal scorers on this team. Wenger has only been able to finish once and has choked every other scoring opportunity. Casey is literally finished and is on his last legs and will not make it through half the season. LeToux continues to play the role of frustrated assist man. Leo has scored but is better off in the Midfield creating. And please don’t mention Danny Cruz or Hopenot as potential goal scorers.
I said it before and I will say it again. The Wenger for Jack trade will come back to haunt Hackworth. It has screwed up any chemistry that they were beginning to build and has left the Union with no proven "healthy finisher".
The media types keep singing the praises about the little things Wenger does. He is not doing the big thing he was brought here to do which is finish. After the Montreal game the Union will be facing some tough competition and may find themselves second from the bottom of a mediocre Eastern Division in 4 weeks.
I never thought I’d say this but the Union may have "too many good midfielders " and may need to sacrifice somebody to get a true finisher. The Union are now on pace to score less than 1 goal per game. That is very boring soccer to watch and will not get them in the playoffs either. Playoff hopes are fading fast. This team is Hackworth’s design and it looks like the design involves improved passing and possession but very few goals. I don’t expect Hackworth to be coaching in Philly next year. He will also be finished in Philly if this team does not make the playoffs
