Hello and welcome to the first ever Brotherly Game FIFA league. Sign ups are first come, first served. League 1 is the top league and League 2 is the bottom league.
Here's the sign up sheet (if editing in this article doesn't work, head here to fill out the 'form'):
The league format:
There was enough demand, from fans and Union players alike, that I decided to expand the initial choice of one league to two leagues. Yes, there will be promotion and relegation, only so that everyone gets a chance to play in the top league (this isn't a comment on American soccer at all. Please do not judge it as my opinion, it's simply the best way to do multiple leagues that don't involve politics, money or transfers). The bottom three in the top league will be relegated down to League 2 so that the top three teams in League 2 can be promoted to League 1.
Wins are three points, ties one point and losses no points. There will not be any - officially recorded - extra times or shootouts until the playoffs.
Failure to participate in at least one game a week will mean forfeiture of your position in the league and your team will be handed over to a new player.
Injuries will not count from game to game, but red cards will. When reporting scorelines, be sure to report red cards as well. Also, report which players have scored so we can hand out an award for top goal scorer at the end of the year.
The leagues will play based on the real Major League Soccer schedule for the 2013 regular season. Players are responsible for handling the set up games with opponents. The official schedules for each team can be found by going to their individual club websites, or through the MLSsoccer.com site.
