Hackworth is a poor coach who left his two most creative players on the sidelines for most of the season. Both Kleberson and Roger Torre should have been worked into almost every game in of the season. He should have found a way to put them into the lineup in all games as soon as was evident that Jack McInerney was struggling. The minimum he should have done was start 1 of them in the second half of games where the Union had not scored. Hackworth did not give his team the best opportunity to score with the over patience he showed to Keon Daniel. Daniel proved to be neither a goal scorer or a play maker. He essentially served no purpose on offense. Keon had 1 assist in March and 1 goal all season. Hackworth needed to make offensive adjustments earlier in games and did nothing until it was often too late. He lacked the foresight to give Jack McInerney the midfielders who could find him and get the ball to him when he went into his slump. Instead he pulled him from the lineup. It was a bad move to sit him for a large part of the second half of the season. It was demoralizing to the team and to Jack McInerneys self-confidence. Hackworth should be fired for not playing Klleberson much earlier in the season. He should be fired for not using Torres. He should be fired for taking the team’s leading scorer off the field most of seasons the final games.
