it seems that the Union has gone from have a need for strikers/forwards to having a log jam at the forward position like they have at the midfield position.
with the emergence of Jack Mac and the reacquiring of Seba it seem that the U has two starting forwards. then there are Hoffman and Hoppenot from last years draft and the young Cristhian Hernandez .
now the Union draft Conor Casey - a proven MLS forward. first does anyone think that the U and Casey will be able to agree on a contract?
Casey brings many things to the table at the forward position that the U need - but at this point in his career is he still a starting forward?
is Casey the first forward off the bench? taking that role from Hoppenot - or will game situation decided who comes into the game?
with Casey on the team what does that do to Hoffman's development? i imagine that the U better start looking for a loan deal for Hernandezlike they did for Pfefferso he can get the playing time that he needs to develop.
can Casey help with the development of the Union and their youngsters in a non-starting role? or does Casy have to start?
