Danesha Adams was nursing a knee injury all week – dunno if she was able to make the bench.

Philly seems to be much strong so far.

Plus the Flash are playing a very risky, physical style.

Allen Hopkins started the game off saying this is Nicole Barnhart’s last game in WPS… but then paused and changed the subject. Heading abroad? Early retirement / coaching opportunity for the Boyertown HS grad?

Some players in WPS already have signed contracts with overseas clubs.

Yeah, I know Adams is heading to Norway as soon as this is over to finish out their season.

Tasha Kai elbowed in the face, should have warranted at least a yellow card for WNY Flash, nothing. Could justify a red card based on the situation. Looked almost like WNY Flash followed through with her elbow in a swing motion.

Marta getting double teamed by the Independence is a great tactic.

She appears to have begun to become frustrated.

Interesting idea – have players & coaches from around the league on sideline to break down the game. Something tells me that wouldn’t fly in most leagues…

They lead 1-0 in the 65’. That’s certainly frustrating given this game thus far.

damn it

I don’t have Fox Soccer. So I was excited to see Comcast Network would have the game on delay at 8pm. My daughter and I avoiding anything and everything that could’ve spoiled the result for us, and settled it to watch the match.

Seems Comcast only allotted a certain amount of time for the match, though. At 10:30 they dropped the match like a bad habit. For what, you ask? Freakin’ boxing. So we didn’t get to see the end of extra time or the shoot out. Disgraceful.
