US was playing well enough until that goal.
Fell apart afterward.

Bring on Brek Shea, take out a CM. Add another striker as well.

GOAL USA!!!
Rogers taps it in, but the goal was more a product of Brek Shea making a great assist and Carlos Salcido falling the fuck asleep at letting Rogers run free in the 6 yard box.
Awful Awful Awful ref
first the missed pk on the takedown on Judas in the box, then the missed red card on Torrado’s assault on Robbie Rogers.
USA deserved the win they were the better team.
Very good first impression by Klinsmann.

I wouldn't say they were the better team.
For the first hour it was all Mexico. Heck US didn’t get a shot on goal until the 55th.
It wasn’t until Juarez came out and Shea came in that the game turned in our favor.
But yeah, giving a yellow to Torrado on that play was awful. A textbook red if there ever was one.

USA's chances in the second half
were greater in number and far more dangerous than Mexico’s chance(s) in the first half
Win or lose, we'll always be there for you.

Pretty much all of the MLS selections played well.
Donovan, Shea, Rogers, Agudelo , and even Beckerman.
Blatant racism
The blatantly racist chants and comments being yelled by the U.S. “fans” in the upper deck above the U.S. supporter’s section made this game almost unbearable. I almost got in a fight at the end of the game with a group of morons who were chanting about green cards and speaking english because I finally called them out on it, and I had to leave my seats early. I am a U.S. supporter, but I would have much rather been sitting in any other section, even with the Mexico supporters.

Agree, there’s no place for that. The worst part is, those idiots probably don’t even get how they’re being racist.

What section?
What section up there? I was in 209 and the banter was mostly civil by me, aside from the beer that a Mexico fan threw onto a US fan (for which he was rightfully thrown out).
Hey, did you guys see the part where stuff happened in the game and the coach reacted to it?
That was crazy.
