The oft-criticized striker scored an 84th minute equalizer, allowing the Union to salvage a point in a 2-2 road tie with DC United.

An open match provided plenty of chances for both sides, but none fell in the early going. Both Bill Hamid and Faryd Mondragon pulled off quality saves to keep the score level as the match neared the break. However, Dwayne De Rosario, in his first start for D.C. United after a trade midweek, made sure the home side poked its nose ahead before halftime. His pass from the left threaded between two defenders to find an unmarked Josh Wolff, who turned the ball into the net with one touch.
