MLS Playoffs Kickoff GameThread: New York Red Bulls At FC Dallas
The 2011 MLS Playoffs kickoff at 9 pm tonight on Fox Soccer Channel, as the New York Red Bulls head to Texas to take on recently slumping FC Dallas in the first Wild Card round game of the playoffs.
The winner affects the Philadelphia Union's start time on Sunday afternoon, along with the playoff match ups after the Wild Card round. If the Red Bulls win, the Union will kickoff at 5 pm and New York will head to California to take on MLS' Supporters Shield winner, the Los Angeles. If Dallas wins, then the Union will either kick off at 4 pm or 6 pm, with the latter happening if the Colorado Rapids lose to the Columbus Crew in tomorrow night's Wild Card game.
Here are the starting line ups for the two teams playing tonight:
Red Bulls: Frank Rost, Jan Gunnar Solli, Stephen Keel, Tim Ream, Roy Miller, Dax McCarty, Teemu Tainio, Rafael Marquez, Joel Lindpere, Dane Richards, Thierry Henry
Dallas: Kevin Hartman, Zach Loyd, Ugo Ihemelu, George John, Jair Benitez, Marvin Chavez, Brek Shea, Moises Hernandez, Ricardo Villar, Andrew Jacobson, Jackson

SBI says that Arsenal scouts are at the game looking at Tim Ream.
A so-so game so far for him.

0-0 at half time.
NYRB had a good end to the half, but Dallas was dominating the game prior to that run of form.

I actually do not mind New York Red Bulls winning this game
They might be the best bet to give Los Angeles Galaxy a run for their money.

Yes, that's what the Inquirer article said.
Not sure why Scott wrote the Union game would be at 3 with a Red Bulls win, that’s not what the article had said. It had said 4 pm if Galaxy play Colorado, and 5 pm if the Galaxy play NY or Columbus.

Try the internet at my school.
The cable package that comes with on-campus housing does not carry, FSC, so I had to watch an online feed. Unfortunately, my internet crashed for 10 minutes and I missed the first NYRB goal.
It is not any better up here.
