G Farfan has looked horrible, i dont think williams has looked that bad, but he hasn’t looked good. Looks like they keep going to farfan’s side though.

The Union defense are more than willing to hand NYRB the dagger

And NYRB are more than willing to make the blade as dull as possible.

Pffefer?

I missed the first half how did pffefer play?

by Joel Prushan on Oct 20, 2011 9:29 PM EDT reply actions

not much to go by, union had little movement forward the first half. He had 1 good shot on goal though. But nobody was passing well at all.

by Rhayes on Oct 20, 2011 9:31 PM EDT up reply actions

cool thanks im always fascinated by the kid

by Joel Prushan on Oct 20, 2011 9:32 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah he wasn’t noticeable at all in the first half, and a first half of a bunch of mistakes i guess that’s a good thing?

yeah, i can understand what they mean by impeding since Rost couldn’t dive since valdes might have hit it in a different direction.

by Rhayes on Oct 20, 2011 9:35 PM EDT up reply actions

they really need to stay onsides twice in a row really?

Mapp off for Torres

Final substitution for the Union.

You guys are definitely getting some opportunities.

Our defense has been less crap than usual, fortunately.

yeah, i think mwanga helps with that. Torres should help even more, since i think hes better then mapp at moving the ball around.

by Rhayes on Oct 20, 2011 9:37 PM EDT up reply actions

At least the Union are establishing more of an attacking presence this half

Unlike in the first half.

this is a bad habit of torres, he is a playmaker yet he likes to take shots where he should just keep passing

by Joel Prushan on Oct 20, 2011 9:40 PM EDT reply actions

reminds me of the friendly against everton? i forget but he took a ton of long distance shots.

by Rhayes on Oct 20, 2011 9:41 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah he did in that game

by Joel Prushan on Oct 20, 2011 9:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Yessir.

Rost, Coundoul, Konopka, Horwath, Sutton.

Mostly a parade of clowns, except Rost.

whatever formation they went with in the first half, the union should never use again. The union have looked exceptionally better in the second half.

Full time

The New York Red Bulls are going to the playoffs. The Union’ seeding is still uncertain.

Danny Mwho?

I really don’t know, but the kid’s lost it. I’m not sure what he brings to the table over Jack Mac or Panovic (when healthy). It’s really a shame.

Not sure who had a worse game

The Union or the Refs. Bad game all around. 80 minutes of bunkerball. Terrible officiating both ways, too many stoppages.

The real shame of it is I was hyping this game all week to friends, figuring we’d get two teams playing to win. Instead we get the worst example of diving, time-wasting, over officiated soccer I’ve seen all season.

Flyers, Phillies, Union, Eagles, Phantoms, Wings.
